Had a friend from FL out on the lake for a few hours and since he is a seasoned angler we decided to do the jig thing. Went for a boat ride/site seeing tour for a hour ,or so, and then hit the fish. I have been doing ok at BR so I motored around for a few minutes and WOW did I find a school of fish. They were spread out for at least a hundred yards and just tons of fish. It was like shooting fish in a barrel. We had a fish on before the trolling motor was in the water. All in all we caught 7 fish with 3 going back and 4 have a date with the grease. I'd rather be lucky than good.

Nice - that's the type of summer-time jigging unlike to hear - it's about time for those big schools to show down there.

That sounds like fun ! We went last night after the rain, I thought the rain would turn them on. We marked alot of fish, but couldn't get any to bite for anything. It got very calm, and very quiet after the rain. Went around the lake and tried various points with some more wind and current, but no luck. Saw alot of boats out there last night. Was a nice night on the lake though!
