Had a good week fishing. Early am was best, between 6-9am. Alewives were easy every night at the dock light. Some real big ones on the perimeter. This is a change for my creek. I've never consistently caught big ales here. Nice change. Flat lines were to top producer. Caught 5 fish over 26 " this week, all on flats. Down lines produced multiple small fish, lots of short strikes too. There seemed to be lots of small fish schools. I'm not really sonar savvy, but the marks were small and when they hit, they were small. At first I thought they might be perch, white bass, etc but they yielded stripes. I stayed close to home ( 3 islands, sliver creek, staniford, cliffs) all week except for one excursion to BR....skunked there ( thanks Gator). Worked hard jigging in the evenings a few times. Caught one good fish at 9lbs . I would find a decent school but they were really moving fast. I would lose em as soon as I found em. Found busting fish often, not big schools but action, they were down very very quickly though. Enjoyed a wealth of bad boating etiquette. Absolutely amazing there aren't 25 serious accidents every single day. It's stunning how clueless people are as they pilot extremely powerful machines at high speeds with no brakes.... Everything I caught was released quickly, shoved hard to the bottom. I'm hoping they all survived. We're awfully fortunate to have this beautifull place to spent time at. Tight lines!

You are welcome! I caught fish at BR Friday evening. No schools just single fish on a jig.
