Today was all about throwing my new Tim Wade net. This thing is a beast and works well for me. Sinks like a rock and should be able to catch em at 30 feet. However, all the bait was shallow today so I couldn't test it deep. Let's just say if I was throwing in 10 feet, I usually could not get tension on my line before it was already on the bottom. In between giving bait to fishermen, I did do some fishing. I caught this 13#er mid day. And then, as yet another police check was occurring, my bank side board went screaming. The cops were nice enough to back off and watch the show. And unfortunately, this 10 pound fish did not survive the battle. Thus I gave her to the cops and asked them nicely to share it with some of the bank fishermen that were fishing the source of this creek. And to finish off this awesome day, I was rewarded with a tree that decided to remain where it was as it splintered my trolling motor shaft. My plan was to stay on the water all night, but once the TM was down...I was out of commission. I am hoping the warranty will repair my TM, but if not, I will do it myself. Tight Lines Everyone! YAM

Just a thought -- if you are using your cast net in shallow water and are on the bottom before you can even retrieve your slack on the rope --- how about wrapping some excess line around your wrist on those shallow situations -- that way when it hits bottom you are ready to bring that bad boy up -- but you have already probably thought of that. always an adventure on your posts Yammmy!!!!!!

I got a little visit from the PoPo this morning also. All is good, I appreciate what they do. They also had to wait on me to un-snag my U-rig. HaHa!
