Guys: I know this is a silly question, but I've got a deep diving lure that is all banged up and needs touch up paint . Anyone have any suggestions? I'm afraid if I put some crappy paint on it, the fish will ignore it completely. Metallic silver is the color that needs touched up. Thanks

years ago I used model car paint, to paint lures I made. Guess you can still get it.

Most lures use an acrylic fast water based paint that is very hardy for fishing etc. I make my own topwater lures for striper fishing. I use paints from a place call Jannsnetcraft.com. Check fishing lures, then paints, then colors. You'll see a color called silver pearl that should pretty much match up the silver metallic. I coat mine with a thin layer of epoxy that really makes it harden up. Oh I use and airbrush but this stuff is designed for use with a brush and does well. Cheers, John
