AT 45-55 WT 40-41 Windy 10-15 WNW and every other direction Water clarity 2’
Took a friend who is a trout expert, but hasn’t crappie fished. Wasn’t expecting much once I saw the water temps, but off we went anyhow. Ended up finding a ton of fish, most of which would just not eat. However, we stuck with it for a few hours and put about 25 in the boat. Half of which we kept, and those were good size thick ones. We missed as many as we caught……
Deadsticking was the name of the game. We used Mountin Minnerz 2” fork tails on 1/8oz heads. Green, Orange, and Pearl were the good colors. Deadsticking, by the way, is rather difficult in strong and variable winds.
I also got to try my new 13’ Jenko Hypersense rod. Took a minute to get a feel for it, but I got it figured out. I think it’ll be a good addition to the livescope.

nice work, john. yep, the wind is not your friend when you're using slow presentations.

Usually I deploy iron anchors on days like today, but left em at home.
One other note, we caught crappie from 5’ deep to near 30’ deep. I found this surprising considering the water temps.

I’d say that was a very successful day. Glad you got on them.
