I’d take a vaccine to shield me from those jokers..
There’s still fish in the lake, verified Saturday and Sunday. A few less now.. Not much worth reporting, a couple of this and a couple of that, junk fishing. Lots of experimenting. Catching gets boring.
The follow-the-guides floatilla still strong as ever…
Good to see their originality.
Has summer weather always been this miserable around these parts? #cancelsummer

I wish that I had something to report. Haven't pulled my boat out of the garage in 1.5yrs. Yikes. Plan to do so in August, though.

^^what johnr said. I love fishing SML but there is just no way I'm putting my life at risk by trying to fish while the lake is overrun with alcohol-fueled, drug-induced, and testosterone-charged rec boat drivers. Ol' Airborne will be back when it's safe[er].

I was at Philpott last evening. I expected it to be relatively calm considering a weekday evening. It was rockin.
I pulled out at dark, and there was a line of rec boats launching! After dark! On a Wednesday!
What in the world.

Wish I had something to report, but hard to do it when you can only get a couple hours of fishing in,, went for the first time in a while one morning and saw a surf boat at 6:12AM.. no joke.. kills me!
Side note, I wish I knew how to fish better at night. I’ll have to start doing that to get on the water this time of year.. because there is some good fishing to be had I’m sure.
And since I don’t use Facebook, this is my only go to.. seems that where everyone posts these days??

My wife and I have a 6 week old baby at home, so I haven’t fished since April. I don’t normally fish this time of year anyways unless it’s salt or cold water. I hope to back out there in the fall some - definitely for the Mafia events at least.
Open to ideas of how to drive traffic to the site. Even though this site has quality information usually, it’s hard to compete for views with the FB and Instagram’s of the world nowadays.

Well now that he boat is back together and have a truck to pull it easily; I'm thinking about bring my 25' deep vee walk-around to the lake next summer. If I run her just off plane, she can give those surf boats (I'm assuming y'all are talking about wake board boats) some real "surf". Insert evil grin emoji here

First of all, no shame in spending time with family, especially a new one. Congratulations! Im not sure much can be done to drive traffic. Im sure there’s plenty of readers, just not many posters. Much quicker to post a pic on the Gram, and more likes to go along with it. I think the old reports even dating back to the “old” sites would be invaluable to many of us, even those of us who are seasoned. One of the reasons I try to post when I have something worth posting. |

For some reason, I have wrapped myself up with home projects and haven't fished all summer. However, I am not going anywhere BIGUN!
I have made sure to keep myself in net throwing shape. I tore up my patio and took 15 tons of pavers and wall block to the dump. For each piece, I made sure to throw it into the dump pile with a net throwing motion!

(if you call sending him pics of fish keeping in touch) j/k You know you guys not fishing much means more for me. Life, for all of us, surely gets in the way of fishing. Caught a swamp moose July 4th week, so I'm done till fall. mward...... you the man!! BentRod.... congrats on the little one!!
