Ok guys..I need some shad this weekend. Artificials have been "ok" at best. One day catch 3-4 fish, next not a bite. Has anyone seen an increase of shad in the Hardy/Moormans area(s) of the lake this week by chance? Once water temps hit the 50's it will be easier but im dying for some silver striper candies. I paddle so searching the lake for shad is out of the question. Im hoping to hit the water tommorrow morning so if you see a sand colored yak and a smiling face and have a few extra, feel free to "throw me a bone" ha ha. Good luck to everyone this weekend!

Cold past few days. Baits a lil tougher. I haven't been to hardy in months. I'd look around bay roc coves.

Thanks Mytoys! I do have a way to transport so if the shad keep giving me trouble I might take you up on that sometime. All fall and early winter all I had to do was throw the net at the ramp or under hardy bridge a few times and I had more than I could use. Soon as the water level came up and the water temp went below 48, couldn't catch a single one. Thanks again.
