I thought Leo had made the mistake one day but it turned out he knew exactly what it was, we had a ball on ultralights!

Yep put my father in law on some last year on a slow day and he had a blast catching them on an ultralight setup

I've seen a few on the surface in the summer. What do they hit? Or do you just throw something with a lot of trebles on it and yank it through?

That's the spot Bentrod, I'm not sure many of the greenfish guys know about that place. That ledge is loaded with LM and the occasional SM in the summer when the water heats up. It goes from 6 feet to 110 feet in about 20 yards!

Afloat - popcorn on a size 1/0 circle hook always works good for me with no weight or very light weight. Works even better if the popcorn is a little stale, helps hold it on the hook a little better.

And works even better if you're fishing where the carp are "pets", groomed to be hand-fed popcorn by little kids Just to bring this one back around - you don't really need sidescan to find THOSE carp ;D

Yeah I saw a couple guys in bass boats go flying over it and made me cringe a few times as I was going up the lake and bet they didnt realize it was there.

Here's a shot I got of some gizzards off to my right and left. It's not the best shot, but I always forget to get pictures of it. Usually trying to catch bait and don't have time to snap pics. The one's on the right are about 70-80ft off to that side from my boat. The one's on the left are very close to me and some were showing up on the regular sonar too.

Hey Bentrod!!! I think something is wrong with my sidescan. Mine does not have those white arrows. What kind of upgrade did you have to buy to get those white arrows?

Few more bait shots I got yesterday..Striperseeker no arrows this time so you'll have to find the gizzards yourself!! Keep an eye on my depth. No way to see these on sonar. You probably could see them on sonar here..see them on the LSS? Same here. Throw the net to the right! Left..looks funny cause my boat wasn't 't really moving at all One thing to watch for on the LSS to help you confirm fish is shadows. They're a dead giveaway that you're seeing fish and not something else. You can see a lot of shadows in the shots above.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I still have a hard time interpreting what my sidescan is showing me. These explanations of your sidescan pictures really help.
Thanks again!!!!!!
