My wife and I fished two hours for catfish yesterday evening just before dark. We spent 45 mins each on two separate spots and the remainder of the time was spent graphing and anchoring. Big gizzards were tough to find, but my partner did find us a huge boulder. with that, we settled on nearby alewives/bluebacks, and fished nearby. First spot had 4 runs and landed two. One nice flathead and one fat channel. Second spot, main channel chunk rock point gave us 7 runs and only two more boated, both channels. Had two others break us off, one of which was taking my wife to school. The others just dropped the bait. All fish came on cut alewive midsections or gizzard guts. Every bite came right in 10' of water. We left at 830 just as the bait was coming up.
