2019 Spring Fling - 4/13

In less than 2 weeks we will be holding our final event of the 2018/19 season On April 13th - the Striper Mafia Spring Fling sponsored by Captains Quarters, with our post-tourney check-in at Hot Shots SML on VA-122 a little after 5pm on 4/13. At this event in addition to our tournament winners we will be awarding our Team of the Year, our Lady Angler, Big Fish of the Series & Youth Angler of the Year. Of course we will also have raffle prizes for those teams present and non-placing teams will have a chance to win their entry fee back as well.


As a part of this tournament, we will be collecting jars of peanut butter (16 oz jars prefered) to be used by a local Children's Lunch Backpack program for kids in need to have meals over the weekends. We will be raffling off a Striper Soup Bait & Tackle Moeller 26 gal bait tank - a $390 value, two Catch The Fever Striper Stealth 7' 6" Medium weight rods - valued at $180 combined and a 1 Year SeaTow Gold membership from Sea Tow Smith Mountain Lake valued at $179. For every 4 jars you bring you will receive one raffle ticket - we will raffle the three prizes off separately so there will be 3 chances to win.

This raffle is open to the public - just need to be present at the post-tourney awards at HotShots SML around 5pm on 4/13 to win.

Last year we collected over 400 jars of peanut butter for the cause - let's see if we can break 500 this year!

Lines-in: 6:15 am

Post-tourney check-in: opens at 4pm / closes promptly at 5pm at Hot Shots on VA-122

Our Spring Fling tourney sponsor - Captains Quarters - has put up an additional prize for this weekend’s tourney. The smallest (shortest) striped bass submitted will win this Okuma Reel / Ugly Stik Striper Rod combo.

Couple that with the placing prizes, Big Fish prize, and 10% of entries paid out to non placing teams (usually 3-5 teams depending on number of entries) - and the prize raffles available to all, there are plenty of chances to be a winner!
