Do they stock them in the lake? I hear every now and then one gets caught. Just wondering

A few Muskie get stocked every once and a while when they have some extras from the river stockings. I’m taking about single digits.
To my knowledge no walleye are currently stocked by DGIF, but there are some in the lake. They were stocked years back however.

Last VDGIF report for SML I saw said no more walleye stocking. I caught one (quite by mistake, I assure you) this past winter. Not real big - maybe 15". This suggests they're still there and reproducing. have never had a muskie on. Shameful since I live so close to the New River. If you're after big muskies that's where you wanna go (the New).

There seems to be a fair musky population still, in some sections of the lake. I've had my hands on a few and eyes on a few more.
Walleyes are there too, as said. I've not caught any here, but have seen some in the lake and some that had just been caught from the lake. Some of them have been smaller fish, so I'd believe there is some spawning going on. There is certainly good habitat for it.

The walleye are reproducing some. Year before last I caught two fingerlings in my 1/2" cast net. At first glance I thought they were yellow perch, but under a closer inspection they were walleye. My old phone had died and another was on order, so I had no way to take a picture. Really wish I could of taken one.

The VDGIF website says there is a small amount of reproduction from the walleye, i think it even mentions markers where they hang out near
