Yesterday I was off from work and decided to head to the lake for the day. WOW ... that about sums it up. I would say it was my best day ever on SML as far as fishing goes. I put in at Oak Grove about 6:15am, no other vehicle in the lot, and headed down the lake to fish some clear water. I stopped about a mile down and started fishing, the visibility was 3'-4', water temp. was showing 68*, warmed to 71* when I left. Fish were everywhere and seemed to be in all stages, some on beds, some guarding fry, and some acting like they were getting ready to spawn. I would say that 40 fish would be a good guess as to the number of fish I caught, all on a Fluke or a shakey head, and all released right away. I stayed all day, 3:45pm, and hated to leave because these days don't happen often, but it was a great day and not much traffic on the water.

That sounds like a great day. We went out last night and had good luck with a wacky worm.

Awesome stuff Greg. Thanks for the report. You typically fish the fluke weightless?

Awesome stuff Greg. Thanks for the report. You typically fish the fluke weightless? Yeah, I always fish it weightless. The biggest would go 3 1/2 to 4 lbs., most were in the 14" to 15" range.
