Anyone ever use braid on planner boards ?

Anyone ever use braid on planner boards ? I have a little bit. I don't recommend it because the braids Cuts up your rubber grips on the clip.

I did for several years. I used alligator clips with shrink tubing over the teeth. I think it’s beneficial on long hooksets.

Did you feel that you had more hook ups , or that it pulled it away from them . Do to the stretch

I feel like I had a higher percentage of hookups with braid. Sometimes now I struggle with hooking fish on the outside and I think it’s bexauae of the amount of line out, and not getting tight enough quick enough. With braid, that wasn’t a problem.
I got away from braid because i was given a giant spool of 25lb mono and that’s what I had on hand when it was time to replace the braid.
I use braid for everything else and I don’t feel like I’ve got a problem with it.

Did you feel that you had more hook ups , or that it pulled it away from them . Do to the stretch i didnt think line stretch was an issue when using braid. isnt that one of the advantages of it?
