Fished Friday morning in a creek on the Dark Side. Fished near the back and was in 52 degree water all morning. This was a little surprising as the same area had 59 degree water just 3 days prior. We were were on a thinly veiled striper mission as light spinning gear and crappie jigs were nearby. As before, the area held lots of bait and some impressive marks, but only yielded 2 small stripers on a swamp monkey and a swim shad. We shifted gears and started cruising trees and docks with the Mega Side Imaging. I really buckled down and concentrated on the electronics and produced some of the best crappie detective work I’ve ever pulled off. I was able to peg some crappie sitting over downed trees and some good schools under docks. We didn’t load the boat as we were running out of steam not long after we switched species. However, the in laws had fresh fish for lunch that day.

Nice report ChooChoo.. glad ya found some slabs. Wished I could figure that side imagining out, just can’t quite get the hang of it. I can see schools of bait but haven’t mastered the single fish yet
