Many thanks to Johnr, Hambone, Choochoo and others for the tips and info on how to fish for white perch and what type of structure to look for when locating them. It all came together for me this morning and I boated 38 in about an hour or so. I didn't find a huge school, but enough to keep me busy for awhile. I had two ultra-light rigs, each rigged in drop-shot fashion with two hooks. Twice this morning I had a rod in each hand and two fish on each rod. A good time!
They were in 15 to 20 fow near red clay banks. Rocky areas were nearby. Caught all of them on night crawler pieces (only used 5 worms). The stomach of the larger perch were full of crawfish.
I made a bowl of "carcass dip" with half of them and took it to church tonight, with some crackers and Cholula hot sauce. Got a lot of "Amens"!
