When I was at the lake a few weeks back ! I was fishing at night & I seen a lot of Boats with neon or LED lights down the side green & Black & blue all different colors Is This Leagle are was they just taking a chance ?? Thanks

It's black lights and uv lights to see the line. I don't recall seeing any laws about it.

I've heard if you're not anchored, any lights other than running and stern lights are illegal. I think trolling along the shoreline is considered underway too.

Thanks Bent Rod !! I know I seen a Lot of them at Nights when I was up around Craddoc Running wide open !! You could defently See them coming !! I would think it would be a great law to allow them !! Might be a whole lot safer !!

The issue is that these other lights can obscure the proper nav lights and then while you see them you can't tell if they are coming or going or coming from the left or the right) - perhaps till it's too late. I know there was a pontoon on the blackwater a few years back that was lit up with purple lights under the toons that looked like a UFO and they at least got a warning if not a ticket Oh, and why is this thread in the "Other Species" section?
