I can personally attest to Gators trapping ability. I've had something living under the house for a long time..got into a small crawl space. I've set havahearts more times then I can remember and would catch a coon or possum now and then, but never knew if it was the right coon or possum....enter Gator....he set up a trap that I was afraid to even touch....had the offending woodchuck within a day. no fuss...no muss.

Just to be clear. Trapping season is currently closed and I wouldn't trap an otter out of season.
Drag4striper, a 330 is way too much trap for an otter. I'd use a 220 with a bucket set and would have a nice pelt in a day.

I'd use a 220 with a bucket set and would have a nice pelt in a day. It is possible a 330 is overkill on smaller otters, but conibear recommends three sizes 220 = 7" jaw, 280 = 8" jaw, 330 =10" jaw (all for otter). So we are both right. I haven't trapped in a very long time and have no desire to get back into it. So catch um up when the season gets here.
