Fished yesterday evening for a while. Had a hard time finding big fish, lots of small ones on brush. Caught around 30, with only 10 keepers. Fished upper blackwater. Best luck was on BG Electric chicken, with yellow jig head.

Everything likes chicken! When I can find them I use the chartreuse lead head and the white with red eyes works well also.

Crappie are pretty much everywhere and depending on what time of year it is can be all over the water column. From now till fall of year you can find good numbers of crappie hiding under boat docks, shoot jigs way up under the docks, most of the time if ya catch one there is more

youre in NC, you should be tearing the crappie up. ive caught 16 inch white crappie out of creeks down there. and people also stock them in ponds down there. plus youre near Kerr/Buggs Island, in march/april you should be in Nutbush Creek section of Kerr lake and tearing them up. do you and your dad ever fish there? plus i would be hitting up lakes like Shearon Harris lake down there for some of the best big bass fishing in the state. you have a lot of good lakes around you man. Gaston is another awesome lake down there. Falls probably has some good fishing too.
