I bought 2 sets of these planer boards - one of the lerger pair and one of the smaller pair and have been using them for a few months now. I really, really like these boards. Becasue they are an acrylic material hey are very lightweight which is nice and makes them ride up out of the water a bit and plane out very well. I actually prefer them vs the Redneck boards I have for pulling larger 10"+ baits and they seem to perform every bit as good as the Outcast boards I have used although admittedly I do not have all that much time spent using Outcast boards. My only dislike is the white color of the foam as it causes poor visibility in certain conditions. I have actually taken and put some orange stripes on the white foam to make them more visible. trophyridgeplanerboards.com/products

BJ Ayers the owner of TRPB is an awesome fellow. Hope to have him at our September meeting as a Seminar on Planers. He said the SML boys were all hardcore Redneck board draggers and he received very little business from that side of the hill.

If you talk to Mr. Ayers try and convince him to make his foam two-toned so I can see them better! My home-applied paint is starting to wear off already!

I was going to question the foam they used on the Trophys and then I looked at the website and noticed they sell extra pieces so that answers my question.
My outcast boards are going strong after heck I don't know 10yrs - the foam is like rock. I don't think Toby makes Outcast any more to be honest but they were first class all the way and eventually copied by most. Rockcreek boards are what I recommend nowadays - very similar to the original Outcast boards. I'm not a fan of anything with foam on both sides.

BJ told me he looked for the correct foam for like 5 years, his foam is hi float, but will soak up some water, he says hes tried to get it on a color to no avail.
I like the flags on the offshore planers, but they are just to large for what we do.
I have a few different kinds, I tend to be a Waterbugz kinda guy.
Dude can give you a dissertation on planer board fishing, and he likes to talk.

I got a couple rockcreek pbs a couple of weeks ago and they pull great along side my outcast pbs. I would recommend them as well. I like the stainless steel masts, I doubt I could break one of those. ha.
