Yeah baby!! These things are a whole lot of fun. Built like a tank. I live about 20 minutes from the upper James and this is what they run up there.

That is one neat set up. I enlarged the pictures to try and get an idea of the steering. Looks interesting. Neat idea with your weight forward.

Awesome boat! The notion of riding in it (not on my back) sounds real good.

Thanks fellas!!
Tbspoon, I like the stick steering setup. No console to get in the way, weight up front, and best of all, you can SEE ahead to avoid imminent destruction. I got so tired of the tiller arm and not being able to see ahead, going 20mph up these rocky, shallow rivers. Hit a couple of rocks and about jerked my arm off!!
This is my first 4 stroke, and boy does she idle purty!!

Thanks man I am real happy with her. The mercury is a 2007 60 hp 4 stroke. You lose about 30% of your horsepower with a jet lower unit, so they call this a 60/40. Basically it will run like a 40hp prop motor, except in 6" of water Lots of guys like the hole shot of the 2 strokes, but I can hop up on plane in a boat length with this engine. I spend a lot of time idling around in the shallows looking for holes and sight fishing so I like the 4 stroke. So quiet and easy to start. I just took the trolling motor and 2 batteries out of the bow to get rid of added weight. Likely if I want to troll I will just use the gas motor also.
