Time to replace my cranking battery. Would like feedback on best brand please. The one I have now is an Exide Nautilus- no idea how old it is- at least 3 years.
Thanks !

I had a Deka Marine Master that came with my boat and lasted over 6 years as my cranking batt - only thing else connected with the auto bilge which almost never came on - and it stayed on a charger 100% of the time it was not out on the water. I replaced it this Spring when changing a number of things as I figured I was on borrowed time come this winter

Had good luck with Interstate Batteries. If you don't mind the drive to West Salem you can save a little buying from the warehouse. Address: 3132 West Main Street, Salem, VA 24153 Phone:(540) 380-4866

I have two cranking batteries. My electronics, phone charger, radio and navigation lights run off of these batteries and are likely used more in this area than starting my motor. I replaced one last year and it was recommended that I replace it with a deep cycle that was a largest group size that space allowed because of my use while the boat is off. Thus far, that plan has worked very well for me.
