Three weeks ago the WT was in the 80's now we're in the 70's. Have the Bass moved into the bass of creeks yet? Coming down for the next 2 weeks any help is well appreciated. Last year with the rains and water level fluctuations water was brown and I caught nothing but dinks.

I think they have moved to another state. Our last 3 club tournaments (had 1 today) have been terrible. The water is still warm and stained. Went all the way down past the dam today, water clarity is usually great in this area with 5'-6' of visibility. Today there was maybe 1' of visibility. Maybe with the cooler temps forecast for next week things will improve.

Lake is probably in transition (turnover) and we always found them holding tight to cover for a week or so until it settled. Been a while though since I got hooked on the striped beasts.

Have a trip set with Cats and Stripers for Tuesday and I'm going to try trolling some U rigs for Stripers but would like to catch some LM & SM bass.

gdelmoro, I caught a couple largemouth bass while live baiting down rods for stripers last week. One at 4 lbs. the other 5 1/2 lbs. They came in 25-30 ft. of water. One on a shoal the other on a gentle slope bank close to a point. Hope it helps you. Oh yeah. they came off the main channel. Shoot me a PM if you have a question.

Thanks for the post. Maybe the docks in deep water and rip-rap locations of the past are just that or they are still in Summer mode. I'll try deeper! Hoping to get boat in water today if the rain holds.

As far as I can tell the best fishing is still near the main channels. My last 3 trips this past week and a half have been up and down to say the least. I've caught some smaller fish toward the backs of main channel pockets but the best quality has come in 15ft or so of water on points and humps with cover. This passing cold front really put a funk on em so I hope some stable weather will get them moving and chewing again
