Fished the very back of bigger creeks and coves in 5' or less of water. Water temp 85 degrees. Slow night. 2 flatheads with biggest 15lbs. Also 2 small channel cats.

Good trip slinger. I have never fished for flatheads, but caught a few by accident. Will they only take live bait?

They will take a piece of cut bait from time to time but generally speaking as far as targeting them, live bait is the way to go.
