Friday 8/19: Fished at night from 11pm until 5am. Water temp was hovering around 85 and slightly stained. The full moon had the fish oriented to rock as my fishing buddy found out for us early on. Rocky points and ledges in 9-15ft held the best fishing. Dragging jigs, craws on football heads and black shakyhead worms produced all night. Ended up with 12 dish between 1 and 3lbs. Monday 8/22: Fished from 3pm until 8pm. Water temp was 85 and slight stain. The cold front that came through coupled with the recent passing of the full moon made the fishing a little tough. Only 2 fish in the boat both about 2lbs. One came off the end of a rocky point in 12 fow the the other off the front of a deep dock in 17 fow. Friday 8/26: On the water at 10pm until 3am. Water temp was 86 and again just a hint of color. Fishing was much better than Monday evening with 6 fish to the boat with a couple nice ones up to 4lbs. The fish were more shallow than I had anticipated in 8-12 fow. On this night they were more cover oriented though the best fish did come off the top of a point. Any kind of brush or debris off the front of a dock in 8-12ft garnered a closer look as most spots like this either yielded a fish, a hit or 2, or a lost hook up. Slow dragging through the cover with various plastics or jigs got it done. Sorry not many pics since its tough to get good photos at night in the kayak.
