Got her all coated!! The epoxy is hard, slick and purty!! Spent my time prepping well, sanding to roughen up, alumabrite to clean up dirt, oil, grease and most importantly the aluminum oxide. Got two coats out of the gallon kit (8lb. kit). My advice if you are interested in the same product is to mix it in stages (which I did). I would do 2 lbs. at a time with the appropriate amount of hardener. This will give you plenty of time to coat it before it tacks up. Then after full cure (10-12 hours) give her a second coat. Do NOT attempt to flip your fiberglass boat like this!!!! Matter of fact, I am not sure if I would flip a riveted boat like this either.

No wonder you can not fish the Blue cat tourney this weekend - you are to busy taking your boat apart or fixxing something. Looking good Pete!!!!

Fixing things that don't really need fixing. Why? Because I like too! It's just that simple!

Thanks fellas!! Yam, I'd like to think of this as preventative maintenance.

Thats sweet! i like it... River running at its best! Thanks man. Had to get something to help me fish a little closer to home. I think I found a new hobby. Running these shallow rivers and up the creeks is AWESOME!! I have caught some great fish in areas that I don't think many people can get to.

I personally think it's amazing at the size of the fish that come out of some of those holes in river systems. There is 1' of water for 500 yards and then a 6' deep hole for about 30' and there is a 60# fish in there!

Down in the lower James the water is much deeper and it works diffently.

Was wondering where did you buy the Kevlar coating at and how has it held up. Do you think it would seal rivets? I was thinking about using gatorglide for my boat. www.gatorglide.com/
