Headed out Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. With major storms rolling through all over the place I was lucky to be in a spot where I just got a light rain for around 30 minutes but after that rain the bite really turned on. Air temp was around 85 and water temps were from 85-87 with 4ft of visibility. I focused all my attention on my electronics and never made a cast unless I saw plenty of bait but the real key was marking fish holding right on or within a foot of the bottom close to the bait. The most active fish were in 12-18 feet of water on submerged structure, rock was more productive than brush. At one piint I found a fired up school and caught 5 on 5 casts all in the 2 to 3lb range, fat bellies full of bait. I ended up with 15 total fish in 5 hours and almost all came on a shakyhead including a nice 4lber and a fat 21 inch 6.5lber. They are eating fellas just gotta find em.

I'm going to start stalking you. You seem to be doing it right.
You've made me want to try this weekend. Need to put trailer bearings in first.
Keep up the good reporting, this has been needed for the site.

Just an FYI each of my recent reports is from a different area of the lake. Since I fish out of a kayak I put in and fish near the various ramps on the lake so its possible with some exploration and patience to learn and catch fish just about anywhere out there within sight of a ramp without having to burn up the water. Good luck and tight lines!

I agree. Fish are everywhere. Or nowhere, some days. Good to see other self-propelled fisherpeople finding some.
