Looks like a cast net going through bait. The sonar settings need adjusting.

All right Catapiller, you got some explaining to do. Ha, ha.
No cast nets on/in tournaments.

Looks to me like white perch on the downscan. I see that often when targeting them

What kind of adjustment does it look like needs to be made.By the way we caught 1 striper 24 inch on main channel with jointed thunder stick.

Considering you were in only 13 feet of water, I would say that is probably a large fish swimming around just under the boat. It could also be a bunch of white perch swiming close together as johnr mentioned. Sonar and ds have very powerful transmitters that up close like that may cause some distortion. If you adjust for that you may miss something in deeper water.

yep - that's what I see - a school or perch or larger bait fish, and then a game-fish or two swimming around

Thank you all for your interpretation. It is hard to guess at this stuff if you haven't been around someone that uses it all the time. I like how some of you will actually throw a net on the images to see what species they are. Ex.. catish on sidescan.
Thanks again.

What were you doing when you got that screenshot of the "perch"?
I ask because that's what I typically see when I get a white perch, it's the whole school following it to the surface then scattering back to the bottom, quickly.
Looks like you had some feeding activity right under the boat with those thicker lines and the perch came up to investigate for scraps.

The long streaks are fast-moving predators fish (bass, striper). The smaller icons look like gizzard shad to me. Could also be perch. Very similar profiles. The streaks coming off of the smaller icons indicates they're moving pretty quickly, too. My guess is you went over a couple of big boys on a feeding frenzy.
