.....particulary Magnum. Does anyone know if Magnum has opened back up?? It's been a while since I have been down that way and would like to know if it is accessable. With all of the bass tourneys ths time of year Penhook can be VERY crowded and I like to give those guys as much room as possible when there is cash involved. gator

Gator - 2 weekends ago it was not open yet. I am headed to the lake this weekend and will check it out Friday night. I'll shoot you a text and let you know if it is open.

I noticed a sign by the gas pumps last weekend that said they would be open for gas on the 15th.

Was wondering the same thing. How much is ramp access? Would love to fish that side.
We are talking about the blackwater side and not Indian Pointe, right?

Magnum is now open and it is still a $5 charge to use the ramp. Spoke to the owner briefly and they are ramping up the business there and will have snacks/drinks next weekend and then open up the restaurant shortly after that.

Glad to hear it is opened back up and they kept the same prices. Penhook is definitely a crowded ramp due to the bass tournaments.

I got a late start Saturday morning and didn't get to Penhook until 7. I just knew it was going to be packed. 6 trucks in the lot and I couldn't believe it. When I came in it was PACKED with the summer crowd......ughhh |

Hambone - no idea - I assumed they were open full time now. Very disappointing to hear it wasn't open. As a fisherman you need to be able to rely on a ramp being open at odd hours.

Coheasion- they are open now. I rode down today just to check, cause I wanna do some nite fishing this week and wanted to know before I pulled boat down there. The gate was open and there was one truck there. I didn't get out, but I'm guessing it's still $5 to put in. That's a relief because it works great for me, in only about 10 minutes from it |

Just as info I went by Magnum today at 10am by water and it was closed and the gate was across the ramp. There was a vehicle parked at the entrance to the store but I did not see anyone around.
