Those skips are very difficult to keep alive and active for much over 6 hours especially in a crowded tank. We pulled water from the lake and had constant refreshing/changing of water. Guys now run O2 injectors.

Must never have seen one of these - the ultimate in Jack keeping - can keep about 8 alive in it for 24hrs+ which sounds horrible to Shad folks but is unreal for jacks - it's kept hacks alive for 52hrs on record. 100gallons no diffused oxygen but that may help even more!

Yep - we had one running on Charlie's 40 gal..... kept 8-10 alive long enough to get them were we needed to be and get most of them out.... and then the remaining chilled nicely

That from Stripersoup? Looks similar to their tanks.

Take aways from this trip:
1) The Mikes are truly passionate about this sport and preserving this unbelievable resource
2) These are two of finest people you will ever run across
3) Mwerd will never set a world record for the 100M dash but he is the fastest man on earth when covering the width of the boat
4) Mwerds arms are much longer than they appear
5) Skippys rule and gizzards drool
6) If you are casual about striper fishing and just want a quick and painless trophy experience - don't go to TN
7) Bring an extra prop you will need it
8) If you like your sleep then don't go on a fishing trip with these two
9) Learn how to stare at other boaters without waving or nodding your head
10) last but not least.... take plenty of pictures of this incredible river system
Archenemy out !

Would an array of small tuna tubes work for those skipjacks?

Would an array of small tuna tubes work for those skipjacks? Know some guys that have tried it with marginal success - not sure any better than just using the tank
