Me and my girlfriend are coming up on the 6th thru 9th to chase some striper's. We just happen to be getting married on the same day. lol So, it will be our honeymoon also.. I normally fish boone and Cherokee lakes in Tennessee Iv never fished sml on my own but have been there some with my buddy Toby. I was hoping to get him to go guide us to some fish but he is chasing white tail at the time.. So i was hoping i could get some help in sending me in the right direction . we will be on the Roanoke side.. i have no clue where to catch bait or fish lol. Sml is such a big lake to start from scratch and any help would be greatly appreciated..

can't give any info on bait, I threw that net for 20 yrs an finally quit bout 15 yrs ago. just plugs now. the stripers will prolly be breakin late or early in the day from the tressle below Hardy Ford down to the tennis courts. if not, we idle aroun lookin for fish we can jig with a spoon or fluke on a jig head. after dark we thro 1/4 oz jigs to the bank on main lake points, swim it back, waitin for that "peck"! wish y'all luck!!

Look in the backs of about any creek on then upper Roanoke - course in a couple of weeks and this storm who knows if temps will change things up a lot or not, but gizzards have been easy in the afternoons.
Upper Roanoke is a good bet to target as said above.
