Oh the water is terrible.. They do have bottled fruit drinks and BEER. We ate there when you dropped us off and I tried tea first - Looked like a very bad urine sample.. - then tried diet Pepsi fountain .. horrible. They really need to do something.

I think it was actually that evening we ate there last after you guys did - had diet Pepsi and was OK (well, as good as Diet Pepsi can be) - maybe my tastes are not as sophisticated

An Irish priest was transferred to Texas.

Father O'Malley rose from his bed one morning. It was a fine spring
day in his new west Texas mission parish. He walked to the window of
his bedroom to get a deep breath of the beautiful day outside. He then
noticed there was a jackass lying dead in the middle of his front
lawn. He promptly called the local police station.

The conversation went like this:

"Good morning. This is Sergeant Jones. How might I help you?"

"And the best of the day te yerself. This is Father O'Malley at St.
Ann 's Catholic Church. There's a jackass lying dead in me front lawn
and would ye be so kind as to send a couple o'yer lads to take care
of the matter?"

Sergeant Jones, considering himself to be quite a wit and recognizing
the foreign accent, thought he would have a little fun with the good
father,replied, "Well now Father, it was always my impression that you
people took care of the last rites!"

There was dead silence on the line for a long moment.......

Father O'Malley then replied: "Aye,'tis certainly true; but we are
also obliged to notify the next of kin first, which is the reason for
me call."

If the mexican place at indian doesn't pan out...Jakes place will be open..may be a little biased about jakes cause my girlfriend is a bartender/waitress there. But they have a lot of boat parking, etc. They are in old campers paradise if anyone doesn't know...

Hey VT how is Jakes? I saw it was open a couple weeks back, we had just had lunch at the Pizza place by the bridge. I used to love Campers-but alas things change.
The place Sunset Cay or whatever that first tried to replace Campers made me feel weird coming into it with Shad scales all over me. ;D
Is Jakes trying to cater to fishermen or what?

Jakes isn't too bad for lunch. Burger, fries, and drink included for like $8. I've never been for dinner I don't think..the prices scare me!! This summer when it got crowded, they had some issues, but that shouldn't be a problem in the winter.
