I have one and like it a lot. One thing to be aware of, these are being replaced by newer units and if you look around you should get a great deal. Also some folks will be selling 1-2 year old units to get the latest and greatest units. Watch craigslist and BBC for people selling their old units.

I have the Elite 7x and love it... While it is a slightly different animal it shares similar features and once you get it dialed in, they are hard to beat . I will say Ive always had a problem with mine losing signal when on plane and at times locking up. Google this as this is a known issue. Ive found just turning the transducer off while going at high speeds eliminated this issue.

Just got one at Bass Pro for Christmas. It was $399 but has no card port for maps. I haven't taken it out yet but for my first I hope it's going to be something I have for a few years.
Sure other models have it but I plan on using the NMEA port with a rasberry-pii after the warrantee is up.

Pandaking this one comes with lake insight pro and a sun cover. Also has a $50 rebate making in $349.99. I have never had a "fancy" fish finder. I do have an old old humminbird black and whiye model. It's old bit still works.
