Hey everyone please post what line size you are using to catch fish on SML during the summer? Does the line size matter?

Thanks guys. I use 12lb Fluoro for my cranking rods. Went down to 10lb today but it scares me when I crank deep. Don't want to break off when snagged. I use 30lb braid with 12lb fluoro leader for my spinning rod. I can skip it under docks real well and no line issues. I use the same for my carolina rig too but with a swivel in between of course.

In the very clear Canadian lakes 8lb is norm with 10 max. Sml is very clear at times. But in those trees you sometimes need 50 or higher. Lol.

Great question It really depends on where on the lake I'm fishing (water clear, stained, muddy), what I'm fishing in (wood, rock, open water) what I'm fishing with (top water, crank bait, worms, jig ...) and the season, mood of the fish and depth. Given all that there are times I use mono, floro, hybrid and braid from 6 - 50#. ?
