I just noticed that in the last 24 hours we've had 2 staff, 48 members and 393 guests on this site! I'm sure the two staff were Mward and Bentrod, one or both of them has this site affixed in there routine brain patterns-e.g. like "the Force". Someone else used that analogy, I just commandeered it. First, why in H don't any of you folks post reports? It appears there's about 10-12 of us that routinely report on here. Granted I don't always either but H I do report. Why not you? How in H can you people take information from this site, use it, probably catch fish and then don't share your information with the rest of us? Are you just users? You don't give anything back? Now the 393 Lurker guests is bad enough, but of the 48 members not one of you folks was fishing? Come on now! Fess up! Quit being a taker we now have 50% or more takers in this country as it is.

I've already "summer-ized" my boat. Unless we get a nice, rainy weekend to keep the drunks and kids off the water, I'm done until fall.

I usually check the boards every day unless I am out of town but I only log in when I see someone that needs some help.

you havent seen any reports from me because i havent been striper fishing in a while, but i do like to read about all the fun ( sometimes not ) some folks are having. i cant afford to fish as much as many people on here, and reading about others fishing trips help fill in the gaps of when i cant afford to go. just because i am on this site, doesnt mean i am fishing and not posting reports. most of what i think i know about striper fishing, i learned from the good folks on here , and i am grateful for their help.

We've explained this before, but the number of guests is not accurate, because you have a lot of Spybots, etc that access the site as a guest. So while there are certainly guests that access the site, there aren't actually 300+ guests or whatever crazy number you may see in a 24hr period.

Know what you mean John. I sure wish I had time to go fishing. Was doing that rodeo thing all weekend. I posted a poll a while back and used the results to "guilt" some folks into posting reports but was promptly told it wasn't a requirement.
Bigun....you make me proud..lol

Spybots are automated programs that wander around the web looking for websites or computers that they may sneak into. The website you're viewing may have a spybot accompanying the web page that gets downloaded (info that passes across the web to display the page and interacts with your computer to display the page and meanwhile, because your computer is so danged fast, may execute subroutines to implant other stuff to live in your computer to spy on you...) Spybots watch for your personal information wherever they might find it, in likely places, because it is generally known where software stores stuff. Spybots may monitor your keystrokes and send them to some email address next time you get online. I have spybots implanted onto Bentrod and mwards membership account.... every pm they send each other as to where all the fish are.... MY SPYBOTS monitor their keystrokes and sends the info to me........ I know where their HOTSPOTS are. lol So spybots are exactly like lurkers... they both steal your info..... hmmmmm, but lurkers use the info to go fishing.

Those aren't the "spybots" that Bentrod is talking about... He's referring to "spiders" that "crawl" the web indexing new content.
You can keep them out of your website using a robots.txt file but then no-one would be able to find your site.

I check in alot from my phone most of the time but not logged in. I very rarely sit down at a computer anymore where this site stays logged in. Stay on the run mostly and with my daughter getting older and more active in softball I dont get out at all anymore really. Back the other year when I was fishing every weekend I did keep reports going.
