I need to get out and try and catch a few. Glad the waters up, maybe they'll come on up to my old honey hole. Get them above Goose and the water will be clear.

I caught 18 yesterday eve and 13 this eve. I'd say it's fishable

well i fished at brookneal today from 11-7. we boated 5. 3 fish on bucktails, 1 on a fluke, 1 on a swimbait. all small fish. thats about like opening day of trout season at that place! its not for me. think i will stick to leesville, and the james.

Yea its about like a circus at tines takesa sspecial type of person to deal with it sometimes but the problem is most of those people have no idea what they're doing and just come for the tournament and will be gone after its over theres a few of us that have been fishing that section for a month or so already

Grizzly, I'm planning to fish tomorrow and through the rest of the week, but going to start out in Brookneal and work my way up. Any nice fish being caught in the past 2 weeks or mostly little bucks?

I would say both. I heard a friend of a friend say they were catching them on shad a few days ago

Yea ive caught 6 keepers in the past week and a half but this past weekend mostly little ones yea most shad being tossed at night mostly but I believe most of the people fishing this week will be fishing live bait I mostly jig for them

Anybody know what the deal with the tournament is this weekend ? Also would anyone be interested doing a shuttle this weekend if I come down, throw ya a few bucks for gas.
