got a big gizzard last Saturday and didn't know if it would survive until morning so I put it on a hook and threw it out. About 45 minutes later this fish took it. Hooked in the lip. 1/0 gama circle hook. It was still mad when it swam away. I measured it 40.5 inches. My scale maxes at 25 lbs and it refused to weigh it. Biggest cat, most likely biggest fish I've caught so maybe it's fitting to open the catfish section?

Thats awesome, hell yea man! And thanks for the release on that fish!!! To many good cats leave this lake thanks for putting it back. Thats a length citation and roughly 25lbs sounds right. Good catch!

Based on these night-time catching reports I'm starting to question your nickname - how much sleeping are you getting done? Seems like a lot of catchin' ;D

I caught a 37" flathead of the dock a year and a half ago. I figure maybe it grew 3" and came back. Stay tuned...

very nice! Can't imagine just how big they get in the lake. Wonder what the lake record is?
