April issue of Field & Stream (Reel Wars 2015) baitcaster review: Shimano Curado 200 I HG Retail $180.00 was rated #1 in their tests. I haven't bought anything yet, one of my spinning reels broke a bail spring so I bought a new reel in a pinch, until I get parts. But with you guys suggesting Shimano and F&S doing the same. I am leaning towards Shimano. Thanks, Mike

I like the feel of it - casts smooth, good drag. [

Like most sports equipment these days the manufacturers rebrand all of their equipment every year or two so they can get us to buy the new latest and greatest best ever made equipment.
I have a bunch of Abu Garcia's I like. I won't mention model because they have all new models. I did pay in the $160 range. I also bought a couple of Abu Orra's and they have been good. One broke but Abu Garcia replaced it with a new one free of charge.
The old green Curado's were great reels but that was a few years back.
