And for the record, if anyone else wants to spray get coat, the $9.99 (with coupon) purple Harbor Freight HVLP gun did a fantastic job. I even bought 2 of them figuring that the gel coat might kick in the gun and ruin it, but I never even came close to running out of time.
I thinned 10% with styrene and used 10 drops of catalyst per oz as directed and had minimal orange peel to sand out (where I didn't touch it with a brush
). Gel coat was cheap from US Composites.
