Live bait. Having a bit of experience with this fishery, I have found the best time to fish it is when the spring American shad run occurs. Reason being the shad run congregates the catfish, lots of fish moving upriver. And the biguns are feeding up for their upcoming spawn which happens early to mid summer.
Miss Skeeters' mother landed a 82 lber, biggest in my boat. It was wild a 70 y.o. woman screaming like a 12 yo kid!!
