Got a go pro for christmas so i thought i would try it out, anyway i was fishing 2 lines with redi rig planer floats and 2 down lines. Fished in about 10-15 ft of water. Caught 5 during the day, fished about 5 hours. For some reason every fish i catch lately loves to run straight to my other float and wrap up a big mess. Had a good day overall. I was only using peanuts but thats about all i can keep on the kayak.

Man, what a great video. Keep 'em coming - There's nothing more enjoyable than watching that rod start to twitch, even if I'm not on the boat. That Go Pro does such nice vids!!! Might want to see if you can get it up a little higher so you can see your floats over your paddle.
KEEP 'EM COMING!

Yeah I am going to work on making a taller mount for it, I mounted it on short notice. The only thing I don't like about the go pro is the battery life. But it's still a lot of fun.

A second battery is a must. You could take two small 6 volt batteries, turn them into a 12 volt battery and then hook up a cig thingy to them to charge a second battery. Seems complicated but it really isn't that bad and is small and light weight.

Look into the wasabi batteries on Amazon. You can get two batteries and a charger for $20. I also use the quick capture feature (one button to turn on and start recording) to catch the action and save battery life

I got a second battery for it but on a yak it's hard to climb to the front and change it. Best buy had original go pro batteries for 10.99 online

Cool video, don't be afraid to narrate or show your excitement. Having a yak seems like more peaceful way to fish and get away. Minus any boat traffic.

Great video. Just noticed you are powering a lowrance... Thus.. There is your power for recharging your GoPro Batts.
Nothing better than when a big striper pulls that yak around.
I wonder if a mirror like the ones we used for pulling/watching skiers would work for keeping a close eye on the planers?
Nice cast of that net too.
So many potential problems to stay on top of in a yak. Love it!

The mirror thing would work. I usually set my drag real light and turn on the bait clicker, so that way when one hits I hear it. I was more focused on the go pro the other day. I used to have a Carolina skiff cc for years but I enjoy the yak more and I learned I catch just as many fish from the yak as I did from my boat.

I loved the stand up throw in the Yak with the cast net -- nice one -- looked like a beautiful day to be on the water!!!
