I have a couple ideas... improve parking, and extend the ramp. Any other ideas?

What are the sudden spikes in water level for? At one time I looked when it was going back down and it was almost 1 ft / hour.

Spoke with a guy last night and he has heard they will be dropping the lake to between 5-7 foot below normal pond to extend the ramps at hardy, scruggs and the hales ford public ramp...not 100% on this, just what he had heard...sometime in november...

That's gonna suck if its in early / mid November....... prime-time striper fishing time.... those with boats in lifts likely won't be able to get the boats in the water if they even have water under it..... those on trailers won't likely be able to get in via ramps......
I guess it needs to be done sometime and there is likely never a great time - but something like that should be widely communicated well in advance.....

Was planning on putting in at Penhook this weekend. Haven't been up in a while. Is the water level ok to put in there or should I try somewhere else? THANKS

5' to 7" is pretty much beyond imagination. Would that be 5 to 7 below normal, or 5 to 7 on top of where we already are? to put in perspective, where we are/have been lately is max 3ft to 3.5 feet below normal.
If this happens, I'll be striper fishing from either a jonboat, or my kayaks. And I won't need to worry about wake, because nothing will be on the water up my way bigger than a 7.5 hp motor.

just occured to me........jump fishing to the seagulls is gonna be pretty hard in a kayak.
just occured to me - version2 - throwing a cast net from a kayak might be even harder.
