Managed to get out each morning for a few hours of fishing before it got to crazy.
Sat morning- Looked for fish where I had caught a bunch a few weeks back on lower black water for about a hour or so - nada . Moved to lower Roanoke end and managed 2 stripers and marked alot of lookers but no biters
Sunday morning- went back to lower roanoke end and managed 2 fish. Again marked alot of fish . They would come up and mouth the bait but just would not take it.
Monday morning- Fished lower roanoke end again. Caught 7 stripers and about a 4lb channel cat. Missed several fish as well with lots of pull downs.
Saw water temps from 81 - 83 . All fish caught on ales 30 - 40 ft deep on down lines.

All these reports are killing me..... I spent the weekend all up in timber at the lake...... but instead of hanging up downlines in it, I was nailing it together....

A sore back Finishing off a basement.... Looking like ordered 20ish too many studs and a couple extra 2x8's but you just never know how twisted and bowed its gonna be when you don't hand pick it. But that's why they have a return policy....

Going to fur the walls out with those 2x2's?

Nope - the walls got the full 2x4 wall treatment - could have gone with 2x4's powder loaded nails flat to the concrete walls but that's a LOT of powder loaded nails and electrical becomes more of a hassle due to limited box depth - those 2x2's (some of which will be heading straight to the bone pile) are to fur down the ceiling since the builders decided that it made since to run the gas line for the fireplaces for my unit and the one next dior below the floor joists vs taking time to bore holes and run it through - and I'm not too wild about a couple of propane line splices buried under drywall I do have to fur out the stairwell with shimmed 1x's due to another "shortcut" that's costing me time and hassle..... I say do it right the 1st time! Seajay - catch some fish for me - I'm gonna be a while
