Bait was tough, after about 20 or so throws, managed one big gizzard, a couple of moneymakers, and about a dozen peanuts. Drug bait for the next 3 hours or so--are there any stripers in the lake? ;D Water temps were 81 deep to 84 shallow. I was kind of hoping the bite would turn on a bit with the line of storms headed in, but alas Cheers, John

Great report John. To many people only send reports where they have had a great day catching fish. After a while you get to think that is the norm. But if you are like me, I have many more days like the one you had on Sunday than days where I catch a ton of stripers.
Thanks for being brave enough to tell us about your day.

Thanks for the report. Glad you were out at least. Seems the morning weather mostly cooperated this weekend even if the fish didn't.

Thanks guys, you know it was just nice to get out on the water with some friends. We always have a nice time. Can't wait for the temps to cool down and the bite to turn on.

I'm with striperjohn, made the long drive Sunday to the dark side only to find that the fish I've been on had moved. Looked for 2 and 1/2 hours, nothing. Skunk. Got 2 this morning, but dang tough. Just couldn't find many fish. Ran into ready2fish at the bait store this morning, really nice fellow. Good to meet you Gary. ;D

Its always nice to be out on the water, even if the fish don't bite. Glad to see some body out, hoping to get out next weekend and see if we can find something to tug on one of the lines.

Good to meet ya Bigun! Thanks again for the bait. These water temps are making it tough! Only 3 small dinks today. Just could not keep the bait alive in the tank very long. Hang in there StriperJohn, if these moneymaker size shad stick around we are going to have fun this fall!
