I fished the 29th also, near r27ish from about 630 to 930 am. Bait was ales with a few peanutes mixed in. Caught 5, trending on the small side, with 2 pushing 5 or 6 pounds. Weather looked good for it with the front coming. Definetly free lines preferred, though the largest took a cut peanut on a downline. Comtemplating how long it'd take to row to r97.

You would never get to R97 on SML, with or without a motor. Nice report, glad you did find some fish, yesterday was a really nice day, would have loved to be out. Reason you will never get to R97 is there is no R97, Roanoke markers only go to R89 at BayRoc, if they ever put markers above Hardy bridge, guessing R97 would be about Back Creek. You could trailer and put in at Hardy or Moormans and fish the upper end.
