i got into them pretty good for leesville on saturday. caught 5, broke off 3-4, lost 2 or 3, and missed 1 or 2. down lines and light lines, 15- 30 ft. 2 times i had to cut and retie 4-5 lines because of getting 2 or 3 on at a time, and i couldnt get the first fish in quick enough. almost lost 2 rods when i had 3 on at once . after i got the first fish in i tried to hand line the other 2 in, but it didnt happen this time( i did do this once a few weeks ago )it was a frustrating day, but was the most action i had in quite some time. all fish were between 7 and 10 lbs.

Ahh - all the action on Sat was down below the dam . Nice going. What's causing your breakoffs? Fish going into the trees or other?

break offs coming from getting tangled in other lines. seems as though every time i would hook up with a fish, he would run right for my other lines. i did cause one of the break offs. since every fish i hooked would head straight for my other lines, i put too much pressure on him, trying to keep him out of the other lines, and he still got one of them.

i fish leesville quite a bit but just started trying to fish for stripers. Not good at catching bait, do you have any tips that may help.
several weeks ago we got into a bunch of white bass and caught them all day long. lots of fun

right now its hard for me to get the size bait i want. look in the creeks for bait. a lot of the bait has moved into deeper water which makes it had to catch. there is smaller ( 3 in. ) shad still fairly easy to catch. look for bait flipping on the surface or you can locate them on your fish finder. most times i spend 2-4 hours throwing the net to get the size i want.
