Dan Wilson, are you out there?

I took this pic a couple years ago as I watched this guy hook and land this striper in carvins cove. Given that there havent been any striper stockings there in many years, I was surpeised by the relatively small size of this fish. I later saw another guy catch one much smaller. Is there anyway these things are spawning, or are these just really old, stunted fish?

Some years ago, a truck that was hauling striper fry, broke down and instead of letting the die they took them down to the ramp at the cove and let them go in the lake, I don't fish there at all so I don't know how they are doing with the lack of a good food sourse I would not expect them to grow too much.

Really? I had never heard that! Hmmmm, may have to intercept one of the stocking trucks on 81 this year and see if we can manage a repeat performance!

Greenmonster - They actually used to stock Carvins a long time ago. And in fact I was toldthey started stocking hybrids again last year and again this year.

Nice! I know Dan mentioned 2-3yrs ago they were thinking about stocking hybrids in there.
