Do you guys use the same line during the day that you would at night? Asking for two reasons, but basically because of sight. I try to rig everything I can before heading out, but sure enough you have to re-tie eventually. I have a terrible time tying knots at night, line seems to disappear. Does anyone you use Hi-vision line (green, orange, etc.) at night with any luck? I think it would also benefit me on casting also, seeing the strike? Just looking for some thoughts on the what line people use at night. Or other suggestions, tricks to the trade?

I personally use the same setup as day simply for financial purposes. I cant afford to have separate rigs. I do like your thinking about something with visibility however Im predominately a live bait user so my visibility is...click click click I do use a small LED lantern that helps and hope to run some led tape later in the year. I did look around Wally World yesterday and noticed they has a braid that was hi vis above the water and low below the water. I havnt had time to research it but this may be an option.

I also have a head lantern and have added some blue led to the boat. I have seen some bass guys use black lights. I understand about not having the funds to change things out or have extra tackle. But thought maybe I could set up one all-round casting rod with some Hi-Vis line. Just wanted to know if the striper guys or bass guys have any luck with using fluorescent green or orange at night?

Mono is meant to disappear in bright or lighted situations correct?

Not sure of the exact color unless I see it but I like the blue/smoke suffix for everything.

Try original Stren in flourescent blue, used with a black light it shows up great. Easy to see your casts and disappears when it enters the water.
