Certainly eliminates some not needed space at the expense of looking like a toilet. I would think it would be lighter but the little room saved would be hard to utilize. A straight oval is more conducive for a seat. It just seems like it would screw up your boat's chi.

Old school baker bait tank I think. Looks like one. I believe Todd has one just like it on his boat

These tanks are no longer made and are super heavy. Takes two guys to lift the tank in that picture. One of my friends has that tank.

I just spotted it on craiglist and was curious about it. Not a good fit for my boat because it would block a floor hatch.

And forget about it!!! Pssssst...I did do a little bit of modifications to my live well. Couldn't resist. As shown in the picture, I added a recirc pump that sends the water way above my water line (Whole kit was $25 from Walmart). My goal is to create surface tension (as suggested in the awesome video). I also have room to fit in a filter box similar to the grayline design. And when closing the loop, I found an adjustable stopper ($4) at Lowe's that you can tighten into the drain line rather than using a valve.

I would gladly get the SBT II. I have not had any success finding one. Was on the CQ list but that looks as if it has fallen through. Found a place in KY that claims to be the national distributor for SBT's and can order from him with a no refund policy. Sounds fishy to me.

I have a friend that ordered a 20 and a 40 gallon SBT late last year from that same place. He is still waiting for them. I'd call Ron personally if I were waiting on one of those tanks so you can see when he plans on starting back up on construction on them. Last week he told CQ that he still hadn't even started them yet.... Ron- (864) 295-4206
