A few folks have had problems receiving the confirmation email from ProBoards after registering. The most likely cause is that your Internet Service Provider is eating ProBoards' emails thinking they are Spam. One thing try is to add the following e-mails to your "safe senders" list
correspondence@mail1.proboards.com
correspondence@mail2.proboards.com
correspondence@mail3.proboards.com
correspondence@mail4.proboards.com
correspondence@mail5.proboards.com
correspondence@mail6.proboards.com
correspondence@mail7.proboards.com
correspondence@mail8.proboards.com
correspondence@mail9.proboards.com
correspondence@mail10.proboards.com
You can then to the login / registeration and have it resend the confirmation email
Here is some other detail from ProBoard's help site:
"I created a forum / registered a member account on a forum, but I did not receive my welcome email."
If you didn't receive the activation code in your email, check the spam or junk folder in your email account to ensure it wasn't routed there automatically by your email provider. To resend a new activation code to try again, above the box where you type in the activation code you'll see the following phrase: "Please enter your activation key in the form... by clicking here" -- where clicking here is a link. Click that link and you'll be taken to the resend activation code page. Click the send new activation code link to have a new code regenerated and sent to your email address.
If you're still unable to retrieve the activation code after using the resend activation code method, revisit the resend activation code page and ensure that there are no typos made in the email address you entered in. You may also consider adding the email address noreply@proboards.com to your email contacts list and try to resend the activation code once more. If you continue to have troubles receiving the activation email, you may want to consider changing the email address on the resend activation code page to an email address with a different email provider
"I have created a forum account, but the activation code wasn't provided in my welcome email."
All forum owners have the choice to disable the account activation process. When a forum has disabled account activations, you will not be required to enter in an activation code to access your account and is why the activation code is not included in your welcome email. You can login to your newly created account using the username and password that you registered with and won't be required to enter in an activation code.
You can, however, choose to activate your account at a later time if you wish. Activating your account will allow you to receive email updates from forum staff when they send out messages using the "Email All" option on the forum. To activate your account, login to your account and then click the "Profile" button in the top menu bar of the forum. On your profile page, you should see an area for "Account Status" -- click the "Activate Now" link provided there. You will then be brought to the activation page, but you don't yet have an activation code to enter in. To have an activation code sent to your email, above the box where you type in the activation code you'll see the following phrase: "Please enter your activation key in the form... by clicking here" where clicking here is a link. Click that link and you'll be taken to the page to have the activation code sent to your email then enter in the code provided to activate your account.
