Any place local to pick up some Umbrella rigs today? I'm in Forest, but can drive some.

Know Sportsman warehouse in Roanoke has them and Gander Mountain, Franklin Outdoors should have them, Also Dicks in Valley View most likely my best guesses.

5 arm? Are you talking about Alabama rigs? Or did you mean 5 jig?
U-rigs are a lot heavier wire and usually 4 arm and have a 1.5-3 oz weight build into the head. 5 to 9 jigs typical (one per arm and one trailer) or 2 per arm and 1 trailer.

I guess these are more like an A rig. Would you guys post some pics of ones like you are using? Lots of teasers and one hooked bait?

Google Captain Mack's Umbrella Rigs However I know some guys will troll A-rigs - you just won't get them real deep without a downrigger.... unless trolling them REAL slow like with your trolling motor. Oh, invest in a U-rig retriever - money well spent. they work to retrieve a-rigs too.....

Sounds good. What weight do you run? Mediums?

Others on here are better to tell you about u-rigs. I've only pulled them maybe a 1/2 dozen times and spend most of my time working the urig retriever

If you can wait until Captains Quarters opens back up. They will hook you up with what you need. I found they are cheaper and can set you up with what's working and not. Right now I have 20" umbrella 3oz. With 9 3/4oz triangle head jigs and clear green 4" swimbaits. I have had pretty good luck with it as a beginner. I think it weighs 11-13oz total. Running it with 65# braid & 65-70ft out & at 2.5 mph should put you around 18-20ft down? You have to play with it a little. Watch out for those SML trees.
